While I had all this going, I thought it would be a good idea to back up the NAND of my Wii U through Wii mode using Dump Mii NAND. Speaking of Dropbox, I should clean up this whole mess before starting whatever my next thing is. I’ve found Dropbox syncing game files while they're running causes Dolphin to either crash or think the SD card is corrupt, so I need to pause syncing while I play. I moved all the non-stock Wii channels to the SD card for maximum space remaining on the Wii. I disabled Dolphin display messages for frame rate, games launching and games saving. When booting Wii games from the Dolphin menu, I can still return to the Wii system menu. When I boot any game via Wii system menu, GameCube BIOS or even directly from the Dolphin game list, the same save data is used and synchronised everywhere. I can boot the GameCube BIOS and my saves are there, while the same saves are also in the Wii system menu. I also used Swiss to extract my GameCube saves.Īfter moving my saves to the GameCube folder in Dolphin, they also appeared in the GameCube slot of the Wii system menu. I can boot the BIOS, browse memory cards and see a game before running it just like the real thing. I'm assuming it's required to get the GameCube boot screen when every GameCube game boots, which I've enabled for added authenticity. There isn't much that can be done with this 2MB file, but it's nice to have. I used Swiss to back up my GameCube BIOS.

These saves were on my original GameCube, moved to Dolphin a few years ago, moved back to the console around a year ago to get ready for the GCVideo X and then brought back to the PC just before starting this project! Most of those were NTSC saves, so they'll remain dormant for now. It is a sensor bar with Bluetooth powered by USB. I bought the Mayflash DolphinBar when it released a few years ago and finally took it out of the box for this occasion. I then set Dolphin to mount this new file. I mounted the virtual drive in Windows and copied all data from my real Wii SD card into the virtual drive. I used a program to create a 2GB RAW file.
